Project proposals are now being accepted from college and university campuses (and partnering schools, government and nonprofits) interested in hosting one or more AmeriCorps VISTA members during the 2026-2027 service year.

We currently are accepting applications for VISTA placements beginning August 10th, 2026.  VISTA (or "Volunteers In Service To America") is a legacy national service program, often called "the domestic Peace Corps." VISTA projects are dedicated to sustainably addressing poverty and Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement VISTA projects work via colleges, universities, schools, nonprofits, and government agencies in order to build organizational efficiency, efficacy, and program reach, improving the lives of low-income people.

VISTAs may be recruited locally from local graduates, or from the national pool. Staff recommend a recruitment strategy that creates a pipeline for local graduates to spend a year building capacity at their alma mater!

Our priority areas are: College Access & Success, K-12 Success or School Readiness, Community Resilience, and Veterans & Military Families.

Deadline: 3/31/26
